Hello Everyone!

revising the back steps and retaining walls, more hideous circa 1947 stuff going on here with rotting rail-road tie retaining walls and nothing but overgrown stuff and weeds. we re-did the retaining walls, stained them bvrown (although that is not done in these pictures), re-desgined the stairs to the back of the house and planted 80 baby boxwood shrubs to grow into a hedge. also back-filled the area with about 5,000 chutes of pachysandra, yes, which I planted each one myself, by hand over the course of about 9 months., Home Exterior Design

60 year old cement pool brought back to life, as with the rest of our home, the pool had been ignored for several decades. it was a black pit full of snakes and frogs when we moved in since it had been left uncovered and uncared for for at least 15 years. We did a lot of work to clean i up and make it functional again, and then embarked on the process of making it beautiful. Now - it's a space we entertain in all the time. My kids don't know how lucky they are!!!, Pools Design

Make the best of a bad yard., this was a tragic back yard. the hill, ending almost at the edge of the house didn't provide much space to do anything. it is shady a good part of the day so we couldn't even grow grass. It would get muddy and our picnic table was sinking into the ground. Trying to figure out what to do with that hill was awful. So we let nature guide us. Added a retaining wall, some pavers in a checker-board pattern, some lovely potted plants and bird houses and feeders among the "wild" hill makes all those weeds look planned! Plenty of comfy seating and umbrellas and some outdoor speakers and a sonos player make this our favorite "room" in the summer., Patios & Decks Design

Room to grow, My daughter's bedroom make-over... actually two of them. She's now turning 6 and I changed it into a "big girl" room. It will grow with her. It's a small, funky space (converted attic space) so it's a weird shape. Hard to use the space., Girls' Rooms Design
