Hello Everyone!

About Me

I am a teacher and mother of 2 in Iowa. I have always liked decorating my house and love helping my friends as well. I'm on a budget. Plus, not a lot of choices here in iowa to buy accessories but it's fun anyway.

Oak and a little more oak, When we moved into this house a little over a year ago, I convinced myself I loved the oak trim. We have spent TONS of time and money on updating SO much of this house! However now I am feeling frustrated with the oak trim. My husband REFUSES to paint it. Is it really that bad? Do I just have bad taste? I know everyone prefers white...., Living Rooms Design

It's getting better...., When we bought this house a year and half ago, the trees and bushes were so overgrown there was literally NO grass in front. We cut down several trees and trimmed up the others. We seeded the lawn, improved the landscaping, and I hand painted the window grids white to help them stand out. Plus, we replaced the lighting. We are getting a new front door this summer and I would eventually like to add a white faux balcony over the window above the front door. , Home Exterior Design

My style is Classic Elegance

Traditional but not typical. Classic lines, tailored fabrics, a neutral palette with warm accents. I like Traditional and Victorian designs.
