Adding Layers for Warmth---A Repost, Adding a few extra touches here and there to cozy up our family room. Cool, calm and collectibles, Family room inspired by nature, using travertine, glass, iron, bronze metals, wood, photography art prints and collectibles gathered over the years. A space to lounge and have wine, watch t.v., read and just relax. The whole room is oriented towards the view of a 3.5 acre nature preserve with mature hardwoods, stream and a ravine. The windows are intentionally left without window treatments to maximize the private wooded setting. The palette is purposefully on the cool side since the windows face south and the room is now a cool refuge in summer. , Living Rooms Design
