Spanish Guest Bathroom, This little guest bathroom got a mini facelift with a new hand painted Talavera sink, a mosaic design of Saltillo tile on the counter, rubbed bronze fixtures, antique light sconces w/ copper beaded shades, a custom made shower curtain w/ wood rod and a new mirror. The art reflecting in the mirror is a water color by a local artist of hand painted horses from an old carosel in Mexico that I cusrom framed. In addition, I removed the ugly original medicine cabinet and replaced it by designing an art niche' that displays candles and a wood oil painting of Mary. Guest Bedroom, This room is my guest bedroom... it's decorated in a Spanish garden style with the luxury of an upholstered sleigh bed in a taupe / brown chenille. The bedding is all custom assembled in crisp slightly off white quilts and and matching shams.. The two decorative copper chenille pillows are custom and accent the black patterned quilt at the foot of the bed perfectly with pulling all the colors in the room together. The front accent pillow was made from a Spanish tapestry that I found. The lamps are a punch stamped tin.. they cast the most incredible design on the walls and cieling at night. The art work is orignial as well... they are paintings of roses with a tissue technique that is really cool. (and yes, they are professionally mounted.. no concern for earthquake issues) Oh, and that's my Fenchie "Tallulah" on the edge of the bed. She's just 9 months old... too cute!, Bedrooms Design
