My husband and I row crop farm 2400 acres .. our current house is his family's home place and is 105 years old and is still beautiful. My husband has lived in this house for over 30 years of his life. He has lived and worked on this same 1 mile stretch of road his entire life. It is the same road his grandfather and his mother were raised on where he has raised his girls, who are now 22 and 15 years old.... needless to say there is a deep attachment to being here ... at home. BUT a year ago he decided he was ready for something new...so we have embarked on "our new house adventure".
I started my life on a horse farm in the remote mountains of Virginia then lived in Dallas,TX area, and then spent my influential teen years on a horse farm in the Norman OK area and then back to the remote mountains of Virginia and the nearby nostalgic Staunton, VA and then made my way out to Paris, TN (Northwest of Nashville where he and I met and so now I live with him on beautiful Kentucky farm land....... and we LOVE to travel .... therefore...together we have a VERY "Eclectic Love" for many things in our lives!!
We are building a new house together where we intend to live out our days, the awesome view out the front of the house is our current house and the surrounding view is farm land and a couple of neighbors. We need for our first building experience to be as successful as possible because we will live with it for a lifetime.... AND we could use a little help and guidance... fresh and creative ideas... tradition with a twist and a little flare... but tasteful and cozy!!
